Went to an Antique/Flea market yesterday and had a great find. While browsing ,I noticed a boombox shaped object on the floor, with the face against the wall. Went over and picked it up. Good lord!, this thing feels like it weighs 35+ lbs. Upon spinning it around to see the face, I was pleasantly surprised. The price tag listed a price of "$25 as is". Canadian dollars. I searched around for an outlet and plugged it in. It powered up and the radio came on and sounded superb. Good enough for me. I got a good workout carrying to the counter, paid for it and rushed home. There is hardly a scratch on this thing. The tape deck works great! The only issue so far is it's missing one antennae and the tuner dial indicator is kind of stuck. Maybe the string is caught up. So what I ended up taking home is a really nice condition, working JVC PC-R550C boombox. For a very good price. It even has the Dolby C sticker still on the tape door. Here it is..
Very nice, I love those big three piece JVC's Builds. I think those have that cool dial light that changes colors when it locks on a station.
