I’ve decided to let go of my refurbished Serial # 19917 Sony WM-D6C Walkman Pro that I purchased and had refurbished less than two years ago. Purchased from a seller on eBay and promptly sent out to a well-known repair person. The only thing wrong with it was the usual maintenance, new tires, good cleaning and lubing, new belt. I probably played a half dozen songs on this since it’s been refurbished, and I am just not using it so I decided to sell it. Comes with the case, and that’s the only accessory. This is the early version with pointy amorphus head that everyone talks about, and this one appears to have very low miles, and is cosmetically near mint, and it is near mint inside also. You would really have to look very hard to find even a scratch on this beautiful Walkman. Although I’ve never sold anything on this site, I have on the Phoenix website, and I also have some vintage cartridges and styli for sale on their website right now. Zero corrosion in the battery holder or compartment as seen in the pictures. Just like I sold a Nakamichi BX-300 on Phoenix about 20 months ago I’m going to price this one to sell quickly. $600 firm plus shipping to US only. I know it’s probably worth more especially since it’s a low serial number, but that’s not the point, the point is that someone gets a good deal and I’m happy with that price. I can’t stress how nice cosmetically that this Walkman is, no fading on any of the labeling, and the case is also in very good shape, no strap for the case. It also sounds as good as it looks, and every function works as new. I just sold (10/22/2024) my Shure cartridges and styli on Phoenix in less than 24 hours, and I knew they wouldn’t last somebody got a great deal! Thanks for looking, John
Hi, It’s an early one but I don’t really know, maybe someone would know better than me. But of course it has Dolby C also so maybe that matters. By all accounts this is very desirable because of the low serial number and pointy head, and it is about as clean and minty as you can get. Surprised nobody bought it yet as it works flawlessly. like I said I probably played about six songs on it since it was refurbished if that. It was just general maintenance and I don’t think this one was used very much at all.
