Hi all, Just saying hi from Holland!
Been into tape since the 80's and enjoying PB on a recently-acquired, fully-serviced and mint Nak Dragon.
New recordings are also played back on a Sony WM-D3 which sounds amaaaaazeballs! McLovin the sound from that thing! Any D3 fans here?
Mine will get a new main and rear gear as well as new rubber bits next week as it has developed the obligatory click sadly.
I've heard others extol the benefits of re-capping the D3. Anyone here do it?

Got a little collection of Walkmans and cassette decks going and I also flip into the digital audio realm via DSD's, DAC's and decent headphones!

Anyway, I'll be floating between here and the tapeheads.net forum from time to time as I'm hoovering up whatever cool tape-related gear I can find.
Just scored 84 sealed Sony Metal XR tapes so busy having fun with them at the moment!
    :D

A few piccies of bits n pieces...

Nothing like listening to The Fall on the D3 and sipping a glass of Warsteiner in the garden on a warm summer's evening. Bliss.

The Dragon, and RX202 for PB, saving wear and tear on the Dragon.

nice collection, thanks for sharing these pictures. I Love your Nakamichi decks
I am a big fan of Sony WM-D3 model and have several of them. I have some experience with changing/ repairing this model's central gear but never tried to recap it.

Great stuff, thanks for the photos. I've got to pull my Nak 202 out of retirement, I love watching the tape spin around. Feel free to contribute to the beer and boombox thread, any equipment is welcome along with cold beer!
