    I remember how surprised I was when rediscovering cassettes, because certainly can remember them sounding much worse than they actually do.
    Likely most people remember them that way, in part because it's a format that was trashed by the mainstrem a very long time ago. However, the growth in popularity in recent years seems to have driven both mainstream artists and indie artists to release new albums
    on CDs and cassettes again (not mentioning vinyl because that was pretty strong even before this "cassette comeback"). Of course, not to mention that there are niche pieces of music that were only released on physical formats and cannot be found anywhere else (also true for some movies which are only available on VHS).
