HiFi Archive has these listed as 1989, I think they look more like 82-83? Definately some neat stuff.

Found on a Chinese Blog, it says 1973, but it looks more like 1983. Did Tatung Company make the Grundigs?

I don't think so, that GPC-2000 was made in Grundig's Portugal plant

The TPS-L2 and the clones all have that little bump out at the volume, I always assumed it was for the volume circuit since I've never opened one up? Then you start to think that sliding before that were usually pretty big?

From 1971, some very early boomboxes, thanks Alex Chernyak! The full catalog is on archive.org.
There's another upload of this catalog labled 1974 which seems more believeable with these more advanced boomers.
