Hello everyone. I've been active over at Tapeheads for years now, but the Walkman bug has recently bitten my kids so I came to the premier place for portable audio to gain some wisdom and insight. My son would like to commandeer my current personal Walkman, a Sony WM-FS222, so that has reignited my interest in getting a better one for myself so he can have that one. My current portables: Sony WM-FS222, Pioneer SK-350, Panasonic RS-836S, Sony D-EJ001 Aside from being an entry-level user on the portable side of things I'm heavily steeped into vintage home stereo components. My current setup is as follows: Kenwood KX-7030, Nakamichi CR-1A, Yamaha AX-500U, Sansui SR-535, Superscope/Marantz TDR-830, Teac A-4010, Realistic Mach One. Glad to be here and look forward to learning!
Welcome! I've always wanted to hear Mach Ones, they were pretty popular back then. A few years ago my neighbor grabbed a pair when she volunteered at trash drop-off day along with a BIC 960. She gave me the 960 but would not let go of the speakers, no idea what happened to them, she didn't have a stereo system.
