Greetings folks. My name is Matt and I'm from a tiny town in the Karoo district of South Africa. I wasn't really into boom boxes until the Sony-FH-311-endgame happened to me. Since then I have added an FH-7 to my collection. One of the few in South Africa as they were never sold here. I am looking for some help and advice on how to manage this beast!
I did a tutorial on rebelling this one, will see if I can dig it out. Welcome to the forums by the way
Welcome Matt, the Sony FH Series was just a blipp a few years ago and now they're seeing massive exposure due to a few members early enthusiasm for these massive boomboxes. I just posted my FH-100W, a late 80's beautiful beast that was a welcome addition when most boxes were a fraction of what they were in the early 80's. If yours doesn't get you hooked on open-air listening, there might not be anything left for you, I wouldn't be surprised if a few months from now you have several nice boxes. From memory I think South Africa had boxes only made there or special models unique to Africa. They were also one of the last hold-outs for the cassette format with most blank tape sales there when everyone else was going digital.
