I'm a guy from Romania interested in tape decks and walkmans. I have a tiny collection of walkmans : Sony WM-EX50 , Panasonic RQ-X05 and RQ-SA21. One question : is anybody who can confirm if Sony WM-EX50 has a full autostop ? Playback autostop works but FFW and REW do not. Basically you can hear a high pitch noise from the motor trying to spin, probably it slips ... There is no optical detection so i believe that the autostop in this case is purely electrical based on current measurement (it seems that the motor driver has a current detection circuit) . If the player does not have autostop during FFW/REW is there any possibility to add it ?
