Hi all, I was watching Techmoan stuff on Youtube and he mentioned this forum. About the same time I found an old Sony WM-GX51 from a storage box.
Unfortunately the tape player is not working so I've signed up here for some tips and such to get it going.
I can hear motor is running so I imagine it's a belt(s) that lost the plot.
I used to have a WM-GX50, which is exactly the same as GX51 except it has analogue tuner. Maybe I shouldn't have binned it but it was in a bad way anyway (I dropped it countless times - butterfingers).
    Cheers.

    Thanks!
I shouldn't have binned the GX50 actually - that would have been a good practice/parts bin...

Welcome, we've all made the same mistake, have some Foster's and dig into the new machine!

I've not tried Fosters before but I should - but I have a 18 can box of Double Brown right now, a budget NZ bitter, very yeasty... :) Usually I like to drink a meal in a pint glass (Guinness)
