Searching isn’t great of this forum . Eg, I want to search for any posts about a Sony WM-9. So I enter WM-9 … nope that’s too short a term. Next I try Sony wm-9, nope it just gives me only Sony and it says terms wm and 9 are too short. I try “Sony WM-9” hoping it forces the whole term to be searched .. nope it omits WM and 9 again. So how do people search for a specific model? It seems you can’t unless, I guess, it a long model number. Try searching for a Sony WM-8 or 9 for example. No idea where to post this, so please move if needed.
I use google on most websites since the internal search engine stinks. For example, "Sony WM-9 site: stereo2go.com" For more generic search terms it can be really hard to find the right information. I'm also learning that google isn't that great for searching for stuff like "Sony WM-9," over the last few years they've focused more on sales websites and not information sites. I used to be able to look up anything and all kinds of wonderful sites would pop up, very few would be for items for sale, or items that sold. Now you really have to dig to find the info sites.
Agree about sales. Google always thinks I want to buy something. Thanks for the tip about site searches though.
I'm surprised they don't have more menu selections, one for information, one for sales and more. I thought search was different and watching some videos on YouTube confirmed I was right, they are deep-diving into more of an advertising search engine. I also search and then go to the photographs, sometimes you'll get better hits from the photos, just weed out the ebay/worthpoint and weird links on attorney web sites and you'll be good. It looks like there's very little info on that model on this site, it is a rarer more desireable player.
Good luck but it seems to be an issue on most forums and the newspaper/magazine sites I'm looking at. I remember years ago, there used to be a search site with google box on a lot of websites, but I haven't seen that in a long time.
