I got an old WM-GX510 and fixed it, so it is now playing well. The only issue is, I don't know how to record. I pulled the red 'red' knob to the right and put the 'play' knob, but it is not moving. The service manual does not get the info and I cannot find the user manual on the web.
    Who has the answer?
    Thanks in advance,
    Mathieu

Sorry, I don't have that model or many of the newer ones but I'd say to check the write-protect tab on the cassette. I searched around but it seems like a rarer model, the last one was posted on the forum in 2008.

I have the GX622 which is similar, but with a gumstick battery. The record function should start by just sliding the red record button to the right. You dont need to press play at the same time. If this is not happening on yours, then try checking the record tab in the machine. It is quite flimsy and sometimes gets stuck or falls off. Might need the contacts cleaned too.
