Hello hello, a pleasure to join another forum- seems I keep joining more of these as I get properly into hobbies and such. Raised on such wonders as Transformers and X-Men, of course I'd develop a fascination. I also just love old, "kinetic" technology, and in addition to my portable Cassette player have an old GRiDCase laptop I'm quite proud of, as well as a typewriter for doing my essays on! I'm here, obviously, on account of my interest in tapes and portable players, and predictably because of issues I'm having with my player, seeking advice from the experts. All that said, I look forward to meeting you all.
Now all you need to do is let us know what player you have now. I read your profile and I'm going to be three times your age in about a week and a half. Good day
Ah yeah! I came to make a specific post about that, so I didn't think to do that. It's a WM-D6! Gorgeous machine, one of my favorites out of all of them, aesthetically.
I have two of the wmd6 and then I have two of the WMD 6C and then I have just a whole lot more and I've already shown this many times before. So here I'm just going to give you a shot of my bedroom from my phone. And all those containers on the right hand side. I've got about seven or eight or nine. I can't remember containers of walkmans. I have maybe over a hundred of them at least two of every single one multiples of my favorite, a wm10 singles of the others and all of them need belts LOL. 1d6c doesn't need a belt and the other ones have issues. Anyway, best if you could post a picture of your model and your issue and yada yada yada good day!
I did already make a separate thread about my issues, though I did fail to provide a photo of the unit (including the number), my bad. I'll sort that out.
Just go back and edit your post real simple, just like I'm editing this post to prove to you that I'm handicapped January 2020 the VA yes I'm a veteran cut my toes off because they said it had gangrene in them so now I walk funny hahaha.
Welcome to the forum! I love all the old technology and love that we can still listen to great music with it. Those old Transformers are really neat, I've found a handful over the years and the design/engineering is mind-blowing, some are nearly impossible to fold back up. When I grew up the two best anime were Speed Racer and Star Blazers, while dated animation now, they were ground-breaking at the time. Speed Racer was James Bondish with racing and guns, and Star Blazers was one of the first animated serials, we used to race home for the afternoon episode. SR is on YouTube/Prime and SB is on YouTube or full seasons can be downloaded on archive.org.
