Greetings, last year I sent my original parallel midi ribbon cable out to be rebuilt as the wire segments were breaking and not getting proper power to the equipment. The person I sent it to has completely ghosted me, and eventually blocked me. So now I am missing the cable that gives power, audio signal, and communication between my Kenwood UD stereo components, rendering the whole thing useless. The original parts number for the cable is G63-4760-38 and the connector it fits into is E58-0006-05. At this point I would love it if someone is able to make me a new one, I think finding an original one will be nearly impossible at this time. Does anyone here do that kind of thing? Or can point me in the right direction of what to do? Thanks!
Molex made a ton of connectors, they're still in business but I'd look through some of their photos to see if you can find it. The hard part is if you find it they might want you to buy a few hundred of them but at least you'll have a part number. https://www.molex.com/molex/products/group/connectors
Something like this might work, I'd shrinkwrap the ends so they are more ridgid. They have 19 pin connectors but I only see female, there must be male ends, I don't know what they are called. https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Mikroe/MIKROE-2315?qs=uPV7ZbtEjc5bdSRybBpIRg==&mgh=1
That is a great idea, to make a ribbon cable out of the jumper connector wires. You can try in Aliexpress to get Male-Male or Male-Female or Female-Female.
