I joined this forum back in 2016 (where does time go?), and have been a lurker since. Time to change that. I've been collecting and repairing portable radios, boomboxes, cassette players, 8-track players, etc. for years. Of course, largely lower-end/mid range equipment that were thrift store, garage sale, and flea market finds. Nothing too special. I'm glad there are forums like this one out there to help with repair tips and research on this stuff.
