Hello, I currently am working on restoring a D7100 and want to know if anyone knows where I could find two things. A new front plate as the current one has chipped paint and has a missing corner. I also need a new handle for it as it was missing when I bought it. I got it for 4 dollars at a goodwill a couple months ago and recently became invested in giving it the fix up it deserves. I have a new belt coming for it soon, as the old one had snapped.

That's probably a great unit to get a feel of vintage electronics but finding a handle and trim might be hard unless you find a donor unit. These look like they might have been made by Sanyo or Sharp so you might be able to find a similar version.

Get a can of DeOxit at the local guitar store or online and a bottle of IPA (isopropyl alcohol), the smaller percentage is water which isn't great for tape paths, and clean the heck out of it, there's usually dirt, old pieces of tape and belt and scratchy controls.
