The JR-911 looks pretty neat and expensive. Hopefully I can dig up more ads, they aren't easy to find in the old magazines....
The Diatones I've seen in photos are very nicely finished and look pretty substantial. I've got a few sets of 70's Pioneer Speakers and they're very underwhelming along with Sansui's. On the other hand I really like my Marantz HD-880's, they can take a large amount of watts. Oddly Pioneer started as a speaker company but some of the Pioneer 70's boomboxes sound better than the CS-99's, CS-66's etc.....
I had two chances to get some HPMs locally but I was grabbing some other equipment and didn't want to up my quota. I'd love to hear some, maybe one of these days....
