I just put togheter a simple way to calculate the time of a tracklist via an excel spreadsheet. You still have to input titles and duration of each song (even if with some exporting tricks you could retrieve those info from itunes) and then it's just a matter to choose the side (A or B) and the spreadsheet gives back the sum of both sides. Now I'm tempted to also make an excel that lets you list a bunch of tracks & durations and automatically make a playlist tailored to a specific cassette length. Making the most use of each side with minimal waste (of course, at the expense of mixing up the track order)
Yes, I thought about that. i think it would require some macro wizardry, but my skills in excel don't go as far as that My next goal would be to make an automated Jcard from the tracklist in the same file.

You still have to manually order the tracks (via filters in the # column) I also added a password which can be found in the following "captcha" Hope you like it guys!

Some examples. https://tinyurl.com/ybwq9fh5 The tapes available in the various apps look like the real ones but with some small changes because of copyright, but I believe one or two of the apps allow you to also purchase additional cassette "packs" that have regular tapes without the copyright issues. Either way it looks cool while it's "playing". I found out about the iOS tape calculator and tape player apps one Halloween after Guardians of the Galaxy was released. Someone made a realistic looking TPS-L2 prop with their smart phone. They said the real one was way to expensive so they made a painted cardboard version. It looked pretty good imo.
