I scored this Toshiba more than 3 years ago in Japan, almost at the BBX hobby start.
I still love both Tosh appearance and sound quality, IMO, a very good one-piecer, classics.
The more's the pity that AFAIK 9990 has no direct analogues among Toshibas in the ROW, outside Japan.
I've stashed it away a while ago, due to the space limits, need to dig Tosh out and crank it up a bit. :)
Hope you enjoy the pictures. :)

BTW, in 1981 it cost 74800 Yen, i.e. approx. 340$ at the currency exchange rate back in the day.

Yeah what a beauty. Proportions are gorgeous, the speakers look a great size in comparison to the tape door and there is loads of chrome, whats not to love.

    Minty.

I would almost swear that my sanwa 4600 is an AKA of this model Toshiba.

Quite the swing on that tuner (76-108).
Gotta love the JDM units, if for nothing other than all the labeling.
    Very nice.
