Japan-only model from Panasonic, RS-4250 is truly beautiful:

As received, Black Beauty had one broken antenna "fixed" by SuperGlue, and with cassette mech frozen.
    Very easy do disassemble:

Foam pads sticking from the back into the woofer magnets give that extra bit of Sound Quality:

Cassette mechanism is simple and solid:

Belt got rock-hard and fused with a flywheel:

    Motor was disassembled, re-lubed, re-capped:

SBR 6.9 and FBS 10.7 fit nicely:

This once, I decided to go through complete disassembly of its cassette mechanism. Unless absolutely necessary, I will never do this again!

    Polishing, then fixing broken post:

Amazing restoration. Thanks for sharing these pictures.
Did you paint the speaker grills?? (as I can guess from last picture)

Thank you! And yes, High-Heat and Engine Enamels with Ceramic are the toughest paints on this side of epoxy: siphoned from the can and sprayed with Iwata airbrush. Always a good idea to spray just a Lacquer Thinner first, to "soften" an old paint so that new layer will get a better "bite" onto surface :)
