    Hi All,

Super interested in the history since the stereo cassette player was such a big part of growing up in the 80s. I have 6 TPS-L2s and the guts of a 7th. I have 5 MDR-3L2 headphones. I'm trying to collect working models of all the TPS-L2 variations. I have:

Not working Guys and Dolls with the 'Japanese Walking Stereo with Hotline' sticker on the tape window SN 30xxx
Board and gears of a possible Guys and Dolls, SN 20xxx, metal SN sticker
Refurbished SN 87xxx Stereo - Lower Front 'Walking Stereo with Hotline' sticker
Refurbished SN 105xxx - Stereo Logo
    Refurbished SN 236xxx Walkman Logo
    Refurbished SN 466xxx Walkman Logo
    Refurbished TPS-L2 WM3 Metal
    Working WM-1
    Working Walkman II

I'm looking for a reputable repair shop in the US that can fix my Guys and Dolls. I have new belts, a 1600B motor and internals.

I added a WM-1 and a Walkman II to the collection.

Welcome! Great collection, search old threads on here for repair shops, they're disappearing fast. Make sure they are established, there's horror stories of either crooked techs or old guys that something bad happens and all the gear disappears.

Member radiorich is from your part of the world and used to do Sony Repairs, I don't know if he still does work now, you could PM him.
