Does anyone know much about these mechanisms? I had dismantled our one, as it had been used in a kitchen for years, and was grimy, dusty and greasy. Cleaned up well, but after putting it together, the tape mechanism doesn't seem to want to pull the cassette in, or if there is a tape in, it doesn't detect it. I think part of the problem might be that I left a tape in it before stripping it down, and maybe some of the gears got moved, and it's no longer in a base state. The tape mechanism did work beforehand. Also, the plastic cassette door has a bit of plastic on it that looks like it should engage something on the mechanism. I have a bit of a problem here, as one of the hinges of the door broke. I noticed it looked fatigued when I took it apart. Will superglue work on this? I'll upload a few photos, hopefully someone might know how to fix this.
