Welcome! You made me curious, Is there anything special about SL-SX270? I bought my first Discman in 1995, it was Technics SL-XP170 (same thing as Panasonic SL-NP40), still have it! Then bought Panasonic SL-S360 in 1999 or 2000, it was my travel companion for many years. I had SL-SX270 but never used it much: buttons layout was/is extremely inconvenient for travel use and to my ears it did not sound any different

What material significance does the CD player have? And what role (if any) did the CD player fulfill in the listening experience? That's all very nice but @Jorge just asked you a simple question what's so special about Panasonic Sl SX270 , I'm curious too , and a friendly advice in case you are genuinly who you say you are spaming other threads with your questionaire won't help your goal , that's not the way you'll have to embark in a conversation to convince and inspire people to help you.
