Hey guys so I recently got a Panisonic SX20 walkman, I changed the belts and fixed the tape winding issue and now it plays solidly. Except the wow and flutter is ever so slightly off, where you can notice voices have a distinct wobble, yet is perfectly listenable. I know the speed is slightly off but that can easily be fixed, though what could be causing this issue? (I suspect it's the pinch rollers as they have marks from the play head from siting in play)
That's a big one if there's a "dent" in the roller, also if the old belt was gooey there might be some very small residue, that's the one that gets me the most.
They were quite gooey, you probably have a point as there's still a few bits left due to the recessed nature of the gear. I'm going to try giving those a good blow with compressed air and see if I can get the rest off
