In the middle of restoring my Philips D8444, I need a cassette door as it was missing, anyone have one?
@mrp32Dave you totally annihilated me with your Discman collection (two white(!!!) D-10 were the last blow) and now you are saying that we are fixing the same D8444!!?!? How did you manage not to notice that cassette door is missing? I spent quite a few weeks restoring and repainting mine only to realize that infamous Philips gear crumbles after an hour of play My excuse is that I'm old'n'stupid, done no research before buying this model, now paying the price! Last week I received two new gears from Chech and Russian eBayers (I posted links to the sellers at Boomboxery)now testing which one is better. If none works, I will scrap this Philips and mail you the part
