Hi I am looking for information on a a Philips model D8000. I have tried researching it on line but have had no success. Any information would be greatly appreciated. It is in excellent condition and appears to work well, thanks in advance Julie

I also searched the previous and later catalogues on that site and it looks like the D8000 was only available in 1982, at least in Germany.

The value of bomboxes is something that might be studied for years to come. One of the great difficulties in giving a solid dollar value is there are just so many models, brands and manufacturers who made countless variations of a box with a speaker and radio. Your unit is rare enough, not like gold but more like there aren't that many of them, that there is no sales history to give a solid answer. The last sighting on this site was close to 10 years ago when a member got one. The only way to get a decent value is to sell it on an auction site, otherwise people are just guessing at the value. It looks nice so I'd think most members on here would add it to their collections.
