a lot of Good Vibes posted about Pioneer bboxes at bboxery.com - once I get more space for my hobby I should get me one of these!
Now, the Big Q: which one to choose? One-piecer which can be used in Outer Space (never been there, but myguess it's vacuum, no air for sound-waves), or Compo-Three-Piecer presumably supplied with a girl my age??? Tricky!!!
SK-95F I like A Lot, it is almost B&O styling so it might even be accepted by my Boss :)

I've never heard the Pioneer CK-11, but with its ribbon tweeters and second power amp I bet it could rival the Telefunken or even beat it

Pioneer SoundTrek SK-212F from 1981. I love finding ads like these for some of the obscure models, both these are great units more of a midi than a mini.

Pioneer SK-353F and SK-757F, a nice big four-color two page ad from 1982!

Pioneer CK-W50 from 1985, this is when some of the line started turning to plastic fantastic and were just light-weight copies of every other three-piece boomer, otherwise the ad is kind a nice. Even though the ad states it's a portable component system I think it's just a cheap three-piecer and the cassette deck doesn't separate from the amp/eq like the nicer models.

I had a CK-R500 during my college days. It was my proudest possession back then.

And now own a NIB CK-W700.
There is nothing greater than getting back the childhood toys back, that too as new!

These were claimed to be the first portable Stereos with CD Player.
I also have the PD-C7 as well as the Sony D-5 CD players, both of which can be docked in the slot seamlessly.
    Powerful and sophisticated machines.

I pulled out mine, it's the W300 and it's everything I remember. I'd love to see the nicer models from that time especially the ones with the detachable CD players, I love the "gadget" boomboxes.

Very nice, those are super-rare around here, even the botl W300 is an oddball but nothing special, in fact it has the cheap square foam over the speakers to make it look like it has piston speakers.
