Some Boomboxes and Walkmans from 1981, the AIWA CS-J1 is the most expensive (Singapore Dollars) and one of my favorites, amazingly beautiful with a built in FM radio. The KLH SOLO is also shown, it's also more expensive than the other models. I guess the big question is do you go with the National RX-5500F or the slightly cheaper but more watts Hitachi TRK-8190W? Was the USA Version the 8290, with three bands?

Toshiba KT-S1 and KT-R1 from 1981. I love the first generation recording/radio models they were so nice looking and the radio cartridge was such a neat gadget for a young kid. This was a FULL-size newspaper ad, Toshiba must have had a huge marketing budget for these little wonders.

 

Some random electronics from 1982, pricing is in Singapore Dollars but TVs and VCRs were not cheap and every home wanted those. I think I see at least one contender for new clone find!

We used to love this crap, send in a bunch of labels and maybe you'll win! Mellow Cups were the best with their cardboard money but that's a different story.
