    In the old days we had some members from the Middle East that mentioned they had a lot of boomboxes over there. Old member Arkay used to tell stories of how they would ship containers of vintage audio equipment to Africa from the Hong Kong Stores and Africa actually had some electronics manufacturers making licensed Japanese Boomboxes. Cassettes lasted the longest in Africa, they had so many players that the technology lasted into the 2000's.
