    THIS UNIT IS FOR SALE ON E-BAY AT THE MOMENT BUT I AM PUZZLED AS I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A GOLD AND SILVER WALKMAN DD. IS IT AN AMALGAM OF TWO MACHINES ONE GOLD ONE SILVER

    No I saw it on E-Bay and I am only guessing it is amalgam

    This is not made by Sony this way. Somebody used 2 units and made this.
    This model is made in black, silver, champagne, blue, green and red. all have same size, parts and you can swap parts among these colors. Somebody used the silver and champagne colors part and made this walkman. So you can still use it for its functionality but its value is less than any broken DD walkman.

    Yes that is what I thought had been done . I have written to the Seller already expressing my puzzlement and I wonder if he will reply.
