I liked the video and review of this component. I think this deck worth much less than its actual price. You can still find a decent 3 head deck with $500.
I watched the review when VWestlife posted it. Reading through the comments most of them are along the lines of Boodokhan's comment above. However, I presume the Tascam comes with a Guarantee and a reasonable chance of lasting quite a few years. In contrast buying second hand equipment is nearly always a bit of an unknown. I think all the record decks I own prove that.
