    Greetings!

I recently bought a WM-EX606 for a bargain. The unit was said to be non-functional so I bought it to restore in my free time.
It turns on and after replacing the belt, it played a tape. However, I am experiencing an identical issue as seen in a video from "this does not compute", . I am only getting audio in the Left channel and at low volumes its clear, but at high volume, there is a lot of "fuzzy" noise (only in the left).
The same issue has also been reported on a post from tapeheads,
    https://www.tapeheads.net/threads/wm-ex606-walkman-in-great-condition-but-sounds-horrible.98473/

I replaced the two electrolytic caps with tantulum caps of identical capacitance and cleaned the volume pot. The fuzzy noise is still there. These caps seem to be only on the power side for the audio chip.
I checked a few audio paths for continuity but lost patiences since many go through capacitors. I've been staring at the circuit diagrams and can't figure out whats wrong. When I bridge the left and right output test points on the motherboard, audio comes through the right channel. This eliminates any fault in the headphone jack.

    Would greatly appriciate any input!
    Thank you.
