Another brochure I found in my drawer. I had the HD-580 Precision but found them disappointing.

In the 80s I upgraded from Sony Fontopia in-ear headphones (that annoyed me by constantly needing fiddling with to sound good) to some Sennheiser HD-50s, as everyone raved about the brand back then & these were small enough to fit around my neck when not in use:

They were good sounding but too quiet, even considering the output of 80s Walkmen.

The headphones that came with my Aiwa HS-PX101 (HPMR-1) were much better sounding & louder so much so that I continued using them when I moved from cassette to CD on the go.

I'm no longer a serious headphone listener, so I have some knock-off AirPods!

Isolator42. As I said I had the 580 Precision years ago but didn't like them. First the impedance-300 ohm which is relatively high for a lot of Walkmans back then. What I hated was the individual little 2 pin plugs that plugged into both the left and right drivers. After a while the connections became noisy which meant you had to keep plugging in and out to improve the connection. I also think I remember reading that these particular phones developed a fault of some kind.
