A bit of a mish-mash of Walkmen eh!

These are on shelves in my room for daily use

I have many more players in a queue for repair but here are the ones I listen to regularly and that work well

The DD-33 has recently had the center gear repair - sadly the WM-10 is just for display at time of writing

I would love to own the Akai PM-R2 again, it was the first personal i bought with my own money. It took me 2 weeks money working summer holidays, i paid £70 the memories are flooding back.

    Nice collection by the way:thumbsup:

Beautiful collection ,with representatives of many makes and/or iconic - popular models from a wide walkman timeline ,repairing, using them and properly displaying them. What ideally every walkman collector should do.:nodding:

Wow sickly_b and it’s a complete unit too with the radio module, thanks for the link. I would not pay that much for it as it’s purely nostalgia for my first personal with my own money. As you can see I have Sony D6C, DC2, DD9 and DD33 that I use for sound quality, if I was to get the Akai I don’t see me paying more than I paid for my first one which was £70.

Thanks again for the link

yes - very expensive I thought - perhaps you can keep your eye on this seller as subsequent relists might drop the price. The Akai is reassuringly heavy like my DD-33 ! Stylish and not unlike like the Yamaha walkman I saw on ebay recently. I didn't know they had attempted a walkman..
