It's really nice looking and a remote control? Those were just catching on back then. Maybe I'll still find one, hopefully garage sale season doesn't get postponed this year.

Do not get your hopes tooo high... I tried :(... the first one got laser focus chip busted, I bought another one ‘for parts’: to fix D-10 you need unobtanium parts:mad: found in yet another D-10:confused:
Wish I knew... $300+ down the hole I still have NO idea how it sounds...o_O

Hi Jorge. Still ha e my brocken d-100. Like you cannot remember how it sounds. It was the first discman I bought back in 1986. You kindly sent some photos of a broken cog inside that often goes but cannot pluck up the courage to open it up and have a look. Also the play button has become unstuck and needs re-attaching. I love the look of this unit and 30mw output I would love to get this going again but from all you have said i dont have much h hope.

Feel for you, bud, know this shite could happen.

This small beaut has a KSS-162 transport which was also on some other models
(screenshot above): if you happen to come by one of them you can grab one for
    your trained hands. :wavey:

Actually I have one right now: I bought D-3 for the sake of trying myself in BP-3 battery revival. Since D-3 resale value does not justify the troubles of eBay listing, D-3 is being used as 'organ donor' for D-50MkII

I'm surprised it was only $300 list, I thought these things were much more, maybe twice as much? I just remember they were too much for me.

Hi Mr X. I think it was 250-300 English pounds when it first came out over here in England. It was the smallest discman at the time. Was it a ailable in the US?
