Sony D303 Discman. The 3 SMD electrolytic capacitors replaced with Nichicon audio caps. Spindle Motor replaced. Old thread with details of the repairs is here: Sony Discman D303 (1991) - Capacitor replace & pictures Comes with old spindle motor and old capacitors. Everything works as you would expect. Plays CD-R fine. Very strong skip resistant playing. Some warped CD's will scuff and make a bit of noise. Sometimes a CD will not settle in place, the top magnetic clamp will not clamp down level, I just find that snapping the player lid closed fast gets it right. I made a 6AA battery holder box for powering the Discman by external 9v. So as to get best audio and the remote control to work and orange back light to work. That is included too. But not the AA Eneloop batteries. lol. Will also work with any other old Discman requiring the 9v inputs. I used it with the D-350 and D-555. Includes DIY polarity reversing adapter plug for when using with the D-303. D-303 line out was widely considered the best of all Sony Discman line-out back 15-20 years ago on head-fi.org forums. In discovering old 2002 threads from back 22 years ago, so I wanted to find out for myself! (I ended up liking the D-555 line out a bit more actually.) I paid $202US and did all the repairs and got to enjoy it for a while. So I will sell for $200US. Shipping $25US I am guessing. To US destinations. Don't want to sell to locations outside North America or Europe. Or selling to members who just signed up and are scammers. Paypal only and no "friends and family". Not in a rush to sell. Maybe someone here is interested.
