Hello everyone ... Today I dedicated myself to this Sony recorder ... I had found it on ebay some time ago .. and now being on vacation I was able to take it apart ... it has various problems as you can see in the photos I hope to solve them all DSC01301.JPG

Thanks! I need to crack open mine, do you have the belt sizes? I usually stretch mine out until they're tight but not stretching. Was it hard to get the board off for belt access?

the measurements are the ones you see in the picture ... the original ones are thinner ... they are less than a millimeter thick ... I only made a test with the thicker ones ... for the main motor it is not good because being the more often you touch and slow down the speed ... the diameter is about 46 mm and the other after some tests I put a diameter of 32 mm ... it was difficult to open ... because the adhesive holds well on the keys and then you have to unsolder or cut two wires to be able to open it completely .. I add a couple of photos ... you have to remove the screws that are in the battery compartment and under the opening door of the cassette

I use a belt gauge to measure my belts, it has two posts similar to the players sprockets. The gauge extends like a slide rule pulling the belt "straight," I feel like this would add at least 1/4" to your photos. When I get some time, I'll have to pull out some belts and measure gauge size and unrestricted ruler size.
