Sony MZ-R90 Mini Disc Recorder

    Picked up this little beauty last week locally for $70 aus with 30 discs

    Plays excellent but it has an issue where is plays then pauses like it trying to read.

    I found if I place the MD unit face down it plays fine and no pauses.

    Does it need a clean or lube ??

    just DO NOT touch the lens or it will fail reading minidisc.

    yes thanks for the info
    It is now working fine as I did nothing but use a gumstick battery instead of the AA battery
