Sony TPS-L2 Front grille ass'y paint

    Hello,

    I am trying to find out the color code for painting the front grille ass'y (see picture), does anyone know this?
    I am also looking for the stickers anyone has experience with this?

    Hey Tom,

    I found this video on YouTube a while ago while restoring my WM-3. This guy tried three different types of paint on his TPS-L2 front grille, and finally found one that worked (timestamp 13:32). The paint he ended up using was "MOTIP Autolack Acryl" Model # 55217. I didn't have to repaint mine, so I'm not sure if the exact type is sold at my hardware store--he is located in the UK, I am in the US--but hopefully this can point you in the right direction.

    I don't know if you saw Adam Savage's Build on YouTube, he's on a US Show called Mythbusters but his YouTube Channel is excellent. He builds a prop TPS-L2 (he also does movie prop-building for a living). It looks spot on but I can't remember if he identifies the color of the paint. There's also information on how he does the labels.
