Hi everyone, I have a couple of walkmans under repair where I need a flexible shielded two channel replacement cable for the tape head. The original cables have an open on one channel (likely near the tight bends or flex areas). They are difficult to repair. Any help on a source for something sufficient would be much appreciated. Hi, for reference, I did find this at Markertek, they sell by the foot. Shielded, same diameter and very flexible. As close as I could find to the original. Is it more heat sensitive, particularity when soldering the shielding. I shorted out my first attempt so care is needed (buy extra). Use the one that you have found to be the closest to original. Not worth bothering to find the original, as you won't find one unless you but a donor unit (which is not worth just for that cable).
