I managed to buy a DD100 recently, locally in Poland, and it has black buttons, something I didn't pay much attention to when buying it. But looking online, it seems that all DD100s had silver buttons, mine look like they are from a DC2. Was there a different version with black buttons or did I just get a DC2 with a DD100 board inside? The head looks a bit more pointy than in my DD, doesn't look like a standard type DD head.
Nice, but I think they look more professional with those black buttons. I checked out the head more closely and it's from a DC2. So it's got the amorphous head from a DC2... I guess you could call this the "Super Boodo Khan"? It certainly sounds amazing.
i‘ve never had nor seen a DD-100 with black buttons, maybe they got changed along the line ? ...anyway, f.ex. i have a DC2 where the lid-opener is silver, not black like the buttons, also doesn‘t bother me ;-)
DD100 buttons are silver color, DC2 buttons are black as you all know. But these buttons can be exchanged as @TooCooL4 mentioned. all DD100 units were made with silver buttons. applying "super walkman" name to a specific model doesn't mean to change the buttons. I understand that somebody changed the head but still these modifications are not considered as "super Boodokhan". Changing the buttons on this model most probably were made due to damage to original buttons. There is a topic by @walkman archive about a "super DC2" done by @Doctor Walkman. You can see how this super DC2 was professionally upgraded to gain the title of Super DC2. anyway I don't mean to downgrade your walkman, DD100 is a highly collectible item for collectors in any condition. by the way, If you have a "walkman DD" , you can change the buttons with your DD100.
