    Hi there,
I've bought a DD33 on eBay in February for 125€ (shipment not including).
Sold as not working with Center Gear replacement kit from Fixyouraudio and rubber capstan ring belt tire.

A good way for me to learn how to fix that CG issue!
When testing before beginning repairs, it switched on when plugged in. The gears were blocking/grinding except when holding PLAY button half through. Very loud buzzing sound in the headphones.

Here's the repairs that I've achieved
    - cracked center gear replaced
    - worn out rubber capstan ring replaced
    - corroded battery contacts cleaned
    - cleaning of buttons/spring that were all clogged up with dried grease: they all click in perfectly now
    - re-soldered red wire on the head

    Still failing:
    - spins too quickly: can't adjust speed because I have not found the right way
    - RW is noisy depending on how you're holding the device
    - still loud buzzing sound: I don't know how to check what's wrong
    - still no life sign when on battery: contacts probably needs to be re-soldered

I'll post pictures of it later if any one is interested. It's the dark grey color. Not too shabby looking, IMO.
I'd be happy to sell it for 145€ to a S2GO member who can take the repairs from here and is looking for that model specifically.

Thanks to the kind members who've guided me through my repair attempt so far.
    ML
