    Hello.
What is the real price of sony wm-ex20
in perfect condition? I see one on ebay with such condition for 1350$. What is your opinion?
Also can any one confirm what playhead was on this model? Grey, blue or more examples?

Select "completed listings" on eBay and you can see what people were actually prepared to pay for items, as opposed to what chancers are asking.
Even then, factors like having the original box can significantly increase the price.

WM-EX20 is a rare model and also the 20th anniversary edition: this is the reason people who own it will ask higher prices. However, as @Longman said, that doesn't necessarily mean that the average listing price is the correct one.

However it is to be noted it's an anniversary edition, NOT a limited edition.

I have seen many times completed listings at prices considerably lower than the average price you see at a simple search, which indicates a lot of speculation going on. Many of these listings are on ebay for months and months and don't actually sell.
My opinion on this matter (based on buying experience as well) is that many people who own rare devices don't necessarily want to sell them, but rather get a specific price. Their logic is something like: "If I get X on it, I'll sell, otherwise it's not worth selling".
This mindset ignores market feedback, which unless the unit is unique (like the only NIB mint unit in the world) it does exist.

The WM-EX20 is a walkman that I have on my wishlist, however I won't pay that much to get one. The fact that is in perfect condition is a big plus, but the price tag is a but too high.

Thanks to Longman I open "sold items" and saw 725$ for limited version with nomber on it and new condition . So I think regular one will cost about 500-600$ in same condition and accesories. As for me I won't pay more than 500$ in a good day:)

    Hello,
I found my Wm-ex20 on a French classifieds site, the owner was a former manager of a "Connexion" hifi store and he told me that this numbered device had been given to him for free by the representative of Sony and that the others unnumbered was for sale in store ... Mine is completely new in box, exceptional !

This Walkman is really a success, it is in brushed stainless steel and weighs 180g while my Wm-703c weighs only 125g for almost the same size !

The thinnest part of the Wm-ex20's main body is 16.9mm, making it the thinnest Walkman of all generations !

It is a device, very technically developed, very good sound, very well finished and very beautiful design.

He's in my top three of my favorite walkmans!

    I only paid 150 euros ... Very lucky !

Great story Patex, Sony had a habit of doing special editions with their top of the line equipment, I've found a few news storys about the rare models.
