This won't go into play mode until that white gear moves up when the heads move up and this one is not moving up yet. When I move it up with my finger it'll engage the take-up reel but it won't do it by itself. So am I missing a spring?
That is a terrific answer. Now where can I get this spring from? Or what can I do to make one,,, or Re-Purpose something else to fit into here?
