Retro Audio Museum in Lelystad (the Netherlands) is mainly dedicated to cassette and tape recorders from the 80s. However, we have a particular corner for the grandfathers of the reel-to-reel tape recorders, where they have got their well-deserved retirement.

Some of them are rare, and we proudly display them for our visitors. On this picture from left to right:
    1) 1950 AMROH Wiramphone WR3 Wire Recorder.
    2) 1953 EAMI 1 Type Perfect Tape Recorder.
    3) 1953 PHILIPS EL3530 Tape Recorder.
    4) 1954 TANDBERG 2 Tape Recorder.
    5) 1952 GRUNDIG Reporter 500L Tape Recorder.

Wow, that's a heck of a collection. The fact that they are all mostly portable is really interesting, people really wanted to record everything. What kind of audio do you find on the tapes? 95% of the home recordings I have are just music rips, sometimes I get a meeting but never anything interesting.
