I grabbed one at a thrift years ago, they seem semi-popular. They're really well built, cool looking and a great unit for any radio collector. Sadly the PSB band doesn't get signals anymore, when I was a kid I remember parents would listen to police radio, it was kind of facinating hearing the communications.

In the UK listening to Police Communications (or anything else other than broadcasts and amateurs) was always technically illegal despite the fact that the Police used the top end (104MHz +) of the FM broadcast band so could be picked up on a normal broadcast radio. Unlike the USA there have never been any restrictions on what receivers could be sold, so scanners could cover the full cellphone band. This led to a couple of embarrassing incidents for the Royal Family (Squigygate and Camillagate).
