    Hi everyone,
I’m on the verge of acquiring a boxed TPS-L2 and have been sent extensive photos, one of which has got my attention. There seems to be some form of glue behind the springs in the battery compartment. I’ve seen this before but just assumed it was a botched repair job but as I see it here, could it be stock?

Sorry, I don't have a TPS-L2 but I looked in my clones and they seem to be mounted through the circuit board with zero glue. Some of my older Sonys have a groove the spring is pushed into, part of the battery compartment, they might just make surface contact with the internal connections. Someone may have gotten sick of them popping out and hot melted glue on them.
