    Hi all,

This EX194 just developed a fault all of a sudden, although I suspect it wasn't ''all of a sudden'' and might be because the headphone was accidentally yanked out after it snagged on a door handle. The problem is as described in the title, the sound is perfect... If I pull the jack out slightly.
Also the AVLS switch is very rigid and relatively difficult to flip, and AVLS doesn't seem to function. In my experience AVLS seldom works that well (in the past it has either quietened the whole song down to the point where it sounds like it's coming through a low pass filter or just muted sections entirely) but it seems a little odd that it is having no effect at all currently. It's definitely something I can live without but I find it helps reduce tape hiss a bit, and this budget model lacks Dolby NR (I believe this is one of the last models of Walkman designed).

Any info would be greatly appreciated - thanks!
