Hello, I am from the Netherlands and visited this site a while ago because for a very long time I'm trying to find the Walkman which I owned in 1985, I was 15 at the time. Unfortenatley it was stolen when I was on vacation in Portugal. I left in in the restaurant of the hotel and when I realized I forgot my walkman, it was gone. So here I am 38 years later and hoping that members on this website can help me out. I really did my homework using the internet trying to find my Walkman, unfortenately without any succes so far. At the start of my search I was pretty naive because I assumed to find my walkman with a few mouseclicks. Now I realize there are hundreds and hundreds of different Walkman and I was also stunned that there were so much (unknown) manufacturers. The most annoying part of my search is that I forgot the manufacturers name of my Walkman. I always thought I had a Sanyo but I am slowly starting to realize that I had an "anomaly". How did my Walkman look like? Hopefully the picture is good starting point. I photoshopped a Sanyo M1780F because it does resemble my Walkman the closest (see attachment). It had one particular feature if my memory serves me well: My walkman had two round built in speakers and it was possible to open/unfold them. It also came with a leather case. The speakers weren't at the back of the Walkman but on the front. Furthermore it was made from metallic and not made entirely of plastic if I'm correct. The Walkman that I owned is in some way a mix of the Fisher PH 55 and the Saisho PS 30. I do realize I might not be able to own such a walkman ever again, yet for my peace of mind it would be great to finally getting to know which Walkman I had. Many thanks in advance...
I think I recently posted a version of that one on the for-sale megathread but I can't remember. If you haven't the website that led to this forum has a ton of photos on it. https://www.pocketcalculatorshow.com/
