Hi everyone! I recently bought a Walkman wm-ex677. Im having trouble with it not power on with the AA battery pack. I have it seated all the way in and new battery as well. Belts and everything was clean before I bought it. I dont currently have the gum stick battery for it but the compartment looks clean as well no corrosion. Hold is switched off and there is a tape in it too. I’m not sure what else to look for, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Indeed check the sidecar on other walkman if possible. Also get a gumstick and check if the unit actually works. On these walkmans, corrosion on terminals is the most common problem causing a no power condition. So check the 2 contact on walkman/sidecar are clean.
