1st pic : Alignment tool for the shafts of a cassette rec/player chassis mold and a VW or Audi car passenger seat with a bit of photoshop (seat upholstery).

2nd pic : Alignment tool for the shafts of a cassette rec/player chassis mold and Russian mag Ecstasy. No clue for the tool adapter.

    Am I any close ? :scratch2

From the large mount thing on the bottom left of the first picture I reckon it is something to hold a Sat Nav or MP3 player onto your dashboard using the cassette player as a mounting point.

    Bingo!
I was told that was namely a car radio anti-theft device,
might have been used as a weapon I guess..
A weird looking thing, went by a slang name "fly-flap", there were also ones for 8 Track radios.
This one was used for radios which didn't "swallow" the tapes.
